ThrottleRun Privacy

How ThrottleRun handles account, route, ride, location, event, and safety data.

Development policy draft - July 16, 2026

Rider control

Routes, ride history, motorcycles, emergency contacts, event entries, and location sharing are tied to the rider account. Live sharing is off unless the rider enables it for a ride or group.

Location data

Location is used for visible route navigation, foreground ride recording, selected live sharing, hazards, and checkpoint verification. Checkpoint claims retain the submitted location evidence needed to audit the result.

Privacy zones

Production releases must allow riders to hide precise home or other sensitive endpoints from shared ride maps and exports.

Emergency contacts

Emergency contact phone numbers are encrypted at rest. The app does not silently call emergency services or contacts without a visible rider action or separately disclosed safety workflow.

Retention and deletion

Riders will be able to delete ride records, revoke devices, remove emergency contacts, and request account deletion. Audit records may be retained where required to protect organized-ride integrity and security.

Contact

Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent to privacy@truecourse.tech.

Parent-supervised safety model.

Parent Call Alarm is positioned around visible safety controls, protected parent setup, clear permission explanations, and no hidden surveillance features.
